I’ve been comparing my readings with what I’ve been actually shooting and surprise-surprise they’re different. One of my biggest problems with my new 110mm lens is that I’ve been cutting off heads or strangely enough the heads have come out overexposed whereas the bodies have come out correctly exposed. Sigh.
I’ve been experimenting with different films and trying to recreate the same lighting to figure out how to control, and eventually eliminate this problem? As for the miscalculation of distance I bought a multiple viewfinder which finally arrived in Chicago. I hope to have it for this weekend. I’ve decided to slow things way down by shooting one 120 roll of film per week. I have a few assignments on the horizon where failure is not an option, and I’d like to use both the Holga and the Diana for them.
I watched a YouTube video yesterday where this photographer said after using the Diana, I’m pretty sure that I know how to take photographs and the photographs from the Diana did not come out as expected. I share this evaluation. I like surprises but they have to be in the form or a good photograph especially after frying or freezing for it.
Challenge - a call to take part in a contest or competition, especially a duel (this def is much cleaner than the one that I found in the Urban Dictionary).
