I took my first Diana F+ portrait and I like it. I used Ilford HP5 Plus film and I developed it in Kodak D76. I was surprised at how much grain there was. I also used the flash which is surprisingly effective and bright. It enhanced the vignette creating a very dark frame. The lens isn’t as sharp as my Holga fisheye, but in all fairness the fisheye is glass. I placed an order with Amazon for the 75mm glass lens for the Diana F+ but the merchant never sent it. So I’m on the hunt for another one with high hopes.
I started shooting pinhole images with my Holga 120WPC and I plan to shoot some Diana F+ pinhole images this weekend. I find it interesting how some pinhole photographs on the web are tact sharp and some are super soft. I'd like to try and figure out how many are natural, and how many have been sharpened in photoshop.
