I again paired my Diana F+ with the 110mm lens. I’m getting better at predicting what is completely unpredictable. The 110mm lens produces images that are clear (not sharp) dead center with a radial effect as I said last post. The images are at once cool and irritating because you can be close enough to shoot strangers’ faces and the face will be devoid of details. I don’t mind this when there is some detail and the radial effect produces a cool sense of movement but when it produces silhouettes that are boring dark blobs this can be exasperating.
I’m heading out again this weekend; my tripod missed me. I’ll split my time between practicing taking hand-held images with light weight cameras and my comfort level, the tripod with a shutter release cable. The above image was taken last weekend with my Holga.
