I’m beginning to think that someone started a vicious rumor when they said that film is dead. Film is not dead, and neither are the Lomography cameras that seems to be supporting the industry. I’ve been absorbing my Diana F+ camera, and I thought that the 75mm glass lens would be a nice addition. It was out of stock at Lomography.com, and I’ve since found out that they no longer make it, so I was fortunate to find one, and only one on Flea Bay. That is before I was grossly outbid in the final seconds of auction. It’s a jungle out here.
I finally found a seller who has one and who shall remain namelss until I actually have the lens in hand. I’ve also been working with my Holga 120WPC camera. The amount of cooked film rolls tells me that I haven’t cracked the exposure yet. Although I am encouraged by the indoor photos that I’m seeing. With the weather so random, snow, rain, cold, warm, snow, rain, cold… I’ve been working a lot indoors. It’s supposed to be 30 degrees this weekend and snow. I’ve made up my mind that I don’t care. I’m plotting an agenda where me, my snow pants, and my new Diana 110mm lens will shoot a minimum of 4 rolls of film. My Plan B is to bring along the Holga 120WPC to keep me focused, and working when I need to pop inside a building and thaw out.
