I guess you could call this creative growth but it’s also caused weight gain in my bag. My shoulder really took a hit when I was in New York which is why I’m now aware of what I’m packing. Yes, I realized that I actually need all this stuff. I bought a new tripod last month and I love it – it too is taller and heavier than my old one. My bag is easily 30 lbs., now.
I’ve been researching current trends in photography and business plans. It seems that the two important questions are “do you sell your art by its size or the time that it takes to make?” This question is an easy one for me because I prep before and I spend hours shooting. A ritual of film. I like the slow pace of film it’s always part of the creative equation and its expensive which amps up the level of respect.
Next month Chemical Lens turns one year. I can hardly believe it.
